According to Donate Life Georgia, nearly 3,000 Georgians need an organ transplant.

The Georgia Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donor registry is managed by LifeLink of Georgia, the federally designated non-profit organ procurement organization.

LifeLink of Georgia helps to facilitate the recovery of organs for transplantation within all hospitals in its donation service area, along with providing public education about the facts of donation.

LifeLink has launched “the Infinity Campaign” to educate people about the lasting impact of organ and tissue donation.

“When you become an organ donor, your life story continues through the lives you save, ensuring that your legacy lives on indefinitely,” says Katie Payne, Executive Director, LifeLink of Georgia. “Life is an invaluable treasure, a lesson we learn anew each day from our donor families. Thanks to their generosity, LifeLink of Georgia saves thousands of lives every year, and we are deeply honored to continue this extraordinary mission.”

One donor can potentially help more than 75 people.

Adan Bean is now one of the faces of the campaign. He is a musician and poet.

“My view of life, it’s just one big campfire and we’re all just gathered around it and we’re just taking turns sharing stories. And that’s what this is about. It’s continuing the story,” he said.
